Iris Planting (born in Enschede, 1974) began her creative journey with a degree in advertising, quickly making her mark in the Netherlands’ most prestigious photo studios. Her entrepreneurial spirit soon led her to establish one of the country’s largest photography studios, where she led a talented team of nine photographers. Together, they collaborated with Europe’s biggest publishers and high-profile commercial clients. Twelve years ago, Iris transitioned the studio, now with three locations, before embarking on a new chapter in Heemstede. Under her brand DutchAndFamous, she captured portraits of both renowned figures and uncelebrated figures, documenting their stories from across the globe. Since relocating to Zandvoort, Iris’s connection with nature has deepened, inspiring her work to blend the authenticity of people with the raw beauty of the natural world. This passion has blossomed into several captivating exhibitions, showcasing her unique ability to capture both human and environmental purity.
